Our school, being so close to Carlisle Park, was lucky enough to be invited by the Committee of Friends of Morpeth’s Floral Clock to produce designs for a clock face. The committee, led by Barbara Ross as Chair and Suzanne Austerberry as Vice Chair and set up to organise the reinstatement of Morpeth’s floral clock from the original planted in 1972, asked the children to produce a floral clock design as part of a competition that they could then come in and judge and award a special small prize to the winners!

Every child in school took part and the results were fantastic with so many art skills on show throughout the key stages and year groups. The RHS also came into school to work with some children from our Eco club and some children in reception to plant flowers and make plant pots for the town hall celebration.
