Year 3 – Class 7

Mrs Irvine and Mrs Woods

In class 7 we enjoy learning in a variety of different ways. We love reading, writing and playing numeracy games. We like to do as much learning outdoors as possible and learning through practical activities.

Musical talent in Year 3

Today, some of our musically talented children shared their guitar skills with the class.  We really enjoyed our mini show!

Violin Concert

Year 3 enjoyed showing off their violin skills to family and friends.

Talent in Class 7

In Class 7 we have some talented musicians.  Here are some of them having their keyboard lesson.

This morning Class 7 enjoyed their first lesson learning netball skills.  We worked on using different passes then tried some shooting in the net.

Reading Week Begins!

What a fantastic start to our Reading Week.  First, we were lucky to have a mum and a grandma from Class 7 join us to do some group reading.  After break, we enjoyed a work shop by Liz Million who is an author and illustrator,  She showed us how to sketch a dragon. ...

Subtraction Superstars!

Today in Maths, Year 3 worked on counting back and subtracting.  They had to roll a dice to help generate their own number sentences.

Class 7 dreams!

This afternoon, Class 7 thought about what their dream and nightmare school would be like.  They wrote their ideas about how they might feel in each school on a post it note and we made a venn diagram.

Centre for Life Visit

Wow! What a fantastic day at the Centre for Life! Class 7 have thoroughly enjoyed exploring robots, learning about the universe in the planetarium and taking part in a workshop about light, dark and shadows.  I am sure they will sleep well tonight!
