Year 3 – Class 7

In class 7 we enjoy learning in a variety of different ways. We love reading, writing and playing numeracy games. We like to do as much learning outdoors as possible and learning through practical activities.
Year 3 enjoyed using their times tables in a game of snakes and ladders.
Today, some of our musically talented children shared their guitar skills with the class. We really enjoyed our mini show!
Year 3 enjoyed showing off their violin skills to family and friends.
In Class 7 we have some talented musicians. Here are some of them having their keyboard lesson.
This morning Class 7 enjoyed their first lesson learning netball skills. We worked on using different passes then tried some shooting in the net.
What a fantastic start to our Reading Week. First, we were lucky to have a mum and a grandma from Class 7 join us to do some group reading. After break, we enjoyed a work shop by Liz Million who is an author and illustrator, She showed us how to sketch a dragon. ...
Today in Maths, Year 3 worked on counting back and subtracting. They had to roll a dice to help generate their own number sentences.
This afternoon, Class 7 thought about what their dream and nightmare school would be like. They wrote their ideas about how they might feel in each school on a post it note and we made a venn diagram.
Wow! What a fantastic day at the Centre for Life! Class 7 have thoroughly enjoyed exploring robots, learning about the universe in the planetarium and taking part in a workshop about light, dark and shadows. I am sure they will sleep well tonight!
