We visited the Life Science Centre in Newcastle this week as part of our learning about Romans. We took part in a fascinating workshop where we learnt how roman roads were constructed and we had a go at building one of our own. We also learnt about using a ‘gromer’ (roman surveying tool) to layout plans for forts and other roman structures as well as making roman style arches with a key stone that we had to test with weights! It was very interesting!
