We had lots of fun yesterday playing and exploring in the snow! We wrapped up warm with snow boots, wellies, jumpers, coats, hats, scarves and gloves. It took us a LONG TIME to get dressed but we are working hard this half term to increase our independent skills.
We were careful not to slip on the ice and knew that it was too dangerous to run or climb. Playing carefully helped us to develop our physical development skills in ‘understanding the need for safety and considering and managing some risks’.
We played together and made snowmen and snow angels. Following on from our ice cube experiments before Christmas, we investigated how long it took different sized snowballs to melt. We talked about changes in our environment and we made snowballs and tested to see how high we could throw them.
We hope it snows again soon!
